I’m probably going to get a lot of angry/passionate comments about this article but it’s how I truly feel: Moleskine’s Timepage is currently the best iPhone Calendar app there is.
By best I mean most usable — for me. Now don’t get me wrong; other calendar apps have a lot to offer and I’ve used many of them at different times. In particular, Sunrise is a sparkling example of a powerful calendar with lots of unique and useful features. But, as it turns out, it’s just not for me.
Sunrise has an incredible scheduling keyboard feature. That’s awesome. It allows you to easily subscribe to a variety of really interesting calendars (TV networks like ABC, CBS, FOX and more, sports schedules, etc.) which makes for a great way to stay up-to-date with things you might care about. It’s also got a pretty nice interface. In fact, it’s Sunrise is so good that Microsoft bought it and legions of fans swear it’s the best calendar app for iOS. But it’s not — not for me.
With all the talking up I just did for Sunrise I’m sure there are people reading this who are looking to download it right now! But personally, I really prefer the look and experience Timepage offers me.
