Right off the bat Tesla is making some thought-provoking statements about the Model X, it’s latest electric vehicle. The company claims that the SUV is, “the safest, fastest and most capable sport utility vehicle in history.” All-wheel drive comes standard and drivers will get 250 miles of range thanks to the 90 kWh battery. 7 adults will fit inside the vehicle’s 3 rows of seating and acceleration from 0 to 60 happens in just 3.2 seconds.
This is one sleek SUV if you ask me. I love the Falcon Wing doors (what Back to the Future fan wouldn’t?). I love that the aerodynamics are 20% better than the next best SUV. I really dig the huge panoramic windshield. And the ability to configure the interior to fit 6 or 7 seats is very unique and definitely useful.
And even then I’ve only just begun to describe some of the cool features. There are also plenty of little details that will get technology and car enthusiasts excited: an automatically deploying rear spoiler, power-folding and heated side mirrors, full-size cargo storage for bikes and gear, full-size cargo storage for gear (as large as bikes!) AND a front trunk (since there’s no gas engine) capable of storing luggage, strollers, golf bags, etc.
