  1. Apple Pay is a contactless payment technology aiming to replace your wallet.
  2. Apple Pay allows you to make in-store and in-app purchases.

  7. To use Apple Pay on the iPhone, hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID.
  8. To use Apple Pay on the Apple Watch, double‑click the side button while holding the Apple Watch near the contactless reader.
  9. You can select your default card within Settings.
  10. Apple Pay is more secure than alternative methods thanks to unique Device Account Numbers which are encrypted and securely stored.
  11. If you lose your device, you can use Find My iPhone to enter Lost Mode (which will suspend Apple Pay).
  12. Apple doesn’t save your payment transactions.
  13. Since you don’t have to show your credit or debit card, you never reveal your name, card number, or security code to the cashier when you pay in a store.
  14. Hundreds of thousands of stores already accept Apple Pay including Whole Foods, Panera, McDonalds, Subway, Walgreens, Staples and Macy’s.
  15. In fact, Whole Foods saw mobile payments increase 400% since Apple Pay launched.
