Regular readers will know that I’m always on the lookout for a better slim wallet. There are a lot of slim wallets to choose from out there and, surprisingly, there are plenty of factors to set them apart. Some strive to be the slimmest, the coolest-looking, made from the most interesting materials, the most unique in terms of features or functionality.
Which brings me to the Signature Series wallet from Sapling ($25). As you can see from the photo, it’s quite unique. Made from two pieces of wood and held together by a band, the Sapling wallet can store up to 8 cards comfortably. Carrying cash? Just strap it to the outside of the wallet. Easy. Minimal. Good looking.
The Sapling Wallet comes in three flavors: birch, cherry and walnut. You can also customize your wallet with a personalized engraving.
I’ve been testing the Sapling wallet for a little while now and here’s what I really like about it:
- It’s simple. There’s no pockets to lose anything in. It forces you to carry just what you need.
- It’s different. I’ve never seen anyone carrying a wallet that looks like this.
- It’s touch. Leather wallets are easy to scratch so they don’t stay nice and new for long. This wooden wallet holds up to everyday wear and tear much better.
- It’s cheap. Not cheaply made, mind you… just affordable.
If you’re looking for an ultra-slim wallet that sports unique looks and functionality and that won’t get scuffed or scratched, you owe it to yourself to check out a wallet from Sapling.
