How would you like to eat food crafted by former Google executive chef Nate Keller who has cooked for some pretty amazing celebrities, including the Clintons, U2, the Queen of Jordan and Jack Dorsey? Sprig is a startup that delivers fresh, and obviously tasty, food right to your doorstep. It’s already launched in San Francisco and I can’t wait until it comes to my area.
Though Sprig is just about a week old, the praise on Twitter says it all: “Props to @EatSprig! Delicious & healthy meal delivery for $12/person + $3 delivery. The veggie option was so filling that I have leftovers!” Another user said, “Nom nom! Kicking off late night in the office w/ delish Jap Chae thanks to @EatSprig :)”
Sprig was co-founded by Gagan Biyani who also founded Udemy and the Growth Hackers Conference. Sprig aims to be a dinner on demand service where you can get a nutritious meal for $12 in 30 min or less. It works by selecting a couple items from the iPhone app (during the hours of 6-9:30 pm), waiting approximately 20 minutes and opening your door to greet a friendly delivery person.
