I just got done testing an incredibly tough iPhone case: the Evo Tactical Extreme case from Tech21. To test it’s durability I dropped a brand new iPhone hundreds of times — the video I made about the experience pretty much speaks for itself. But perhaps you don’t need an extreme iPhone case (one that can survive falls from 13 feet high). Maybe you need a case designed for everyday protection — like a fall from your pocket or perhaps a tumble down some stairs. In that case you might want to look into a case like the Evo Elite.
The Evo Elite from Tech21 is a $50 that comes in colors that match the official iPhone colors. The proprietary technology that sets this case apart from the competition is the FlexShock material which can easily handle drops of over 6 feet.
There are a few things that I really like about the Evo Elite case.
Firstly — it’s not overly bulky. As I’ve said many times before here on DailyTekk, I strongly dislike huge phone cases. In this case, the Evo Elite is an iPhone case that will still fit nicely in your pocket while being able to prevent major damage from accidental falls.
I also very much like how accessible and easily press-able the volume and power buttons are on the Evo Elite. I’ve used several iPhone cases where buttons were just too hard to push (or locate without looking) and that can be a deal killer. Thankfully that’s not the case here.
For me — and likely for you — the iPhone’s camera is one of the most important functions. One thing I dislike about recent iPhones is the camera hump. One good thing about the Evo Elite, though, is that it has a barely noticeable lip around the camera hole to give a little extra protection for that very important piece of hardware.
If you’re the extra-protective type of iPhone owner you’ll appreciate that the Evo Elite was designed to work perfectly in conjunction with Tech21 screen protectors.
Let me wrap this up by noting how well Tech21 cases hold up in ...
