A good-looking headphone stand is an essential part of any truly great desk setup. Fortunately, here’s one tech accessory that doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg! In this post I’ve put together my list of the 5 best and coolest headphone stands you can grab on Amazon right now and it’s a pretty fun list. Whether you’re looking for something super-minimal that blends into your desk and just gets out of the way — or — whether you want something that’s meant to be seen and looks like a work of art in it’s own right, you’ll find both types of options here.
I’m not sure about you, but I tend to fall into the minimalist camp. I like to optimize every inch of my desk for maximum productivity and simplicity. My desk setup features an iMac front and center which is flanked on either side by an Electric Objects EO1 digital art frame. I’ve got several items from Grovemade’s desk accessory lineup, an iPad Pro 9.7″ on a stand (with an Apple Pencil and accompanying charger), a pen holder, a desk sculpture and, from time to time, a headphone stand (which currently hold my headphones of choice from a company called Jays).
Additionally, I should point out that each of these headphones stands are universal, meaning they’ll fit any type of headphone including those from popular manufacturers like Bose, Sony, Sennheiser, Shure, Ultimate Ears, Koss, JVC, Philips, Monster, Beats, Skullycandy, Coby and Plantronics (among others). Which one is your favorite?
Elegiant Acrylic Headphone Stand – $8.99
I’m going to start this list off with the headphone stand I chose for my dream desk setup (though it’s not actually pictured in the video). The Elegiant Acrylic Headphone Stand is ultra-affordable and really simple and, being a minimalist when it comes to my desk setup, that was a feature set I could get on board with. This ultra-light headphone stand comes in a few different colors (I opted for the white) and it’s universal meaning it will definitely fit whatever pair of headphones it is that you own.
AmoVee Acrylic Headphone Stand – $12.80
AmoVee actually makes several really interesting acrylic headphone stands; and rather than cover each one separately, I thought I’d pick one and let you explore the rest. AmoVee’s iconic designs really are some of the coolest when it comes to headphone stands: one looks a bit like a Dyson fan, one is a stylish take on a person’s head and shoulders and another is almost snake-like as the top rises from the base. If you’re really into modernism and design, any of these options would be a great pick.
The Anchor Under Desk Headphone Mount – $12.50
Now here’s something different: a mount that holds your headphones on the underside of your desk (this freeing up space on your actual desk top). In terms of design it’s pretty straight forward: it’s just a short, silicon mount that doesn’t take up much space and isn’t too noticeable (which is probably a really good thing since you don’t want to be accidentally hitting it with your knees or have it draw your attention). What’s really great about this mount, though, is that it can actually hold two pairs of headphones simultaneously!
Jack Cube Headphone Organizer – $17.90
Just like the under desk headphone mount above, the Jack Cube headphone organizer can hold two sets of headphones at once. If you’re really into gaming, for instance, and have a separate pair of cans for listening to music, then this might just be the perfect solution. Unlike other headphone stands on this list, this one’s actually got some genuine leather on it, which you may or may not like. Aside from it’s unique look, it’s also nice and easy to assemble.
Satechi Aluminum USB Headphone Stand – $34.99
I’m going to wrap this list up with the Satechi Aluminum USB headphone stand which turns out to be the most expensive headphone stand on this list, though it’s still quite affordable. I really like the aluminum/metal look of this stand (which comes in 3 different colors) but the real killer feature is that it can be used to charge your other USB devices! So if you’re looking for an awesome charging station and want to combine it with the functionality of a headphone stand, this is the best way to do it!
