The 5 best electric skateboards you can buy on Amazon

I love riding electric skateboards (as you can see I had fun shooting this video review). There’s nothing like cruising — fast — on an electric longboard; you get around quickly, have fun getting where you’re going, save on gas… the list of benefits goes on. But mostly, they’re just fun to ride. Whether you live in the city or out in the country, whether you are new to riding or are an “old” pro, you’re in the right place to find the best electric skateboards you can buy from Amazon. If you’re just looking for the best electric skateboards you can buy period, check out this list I made a few months back (there are A LOT of cool new electric skateboard startups out there making some really innovative products).

Why buy an electric skateboard on Amazon? Prime shipping for one. There’s nothing like free two-day shipping. Customer service and support, for another. When things go wrong (as happens, unfortunately, from time to time — wherever you buy) Amazon almost always makes things right. Finally, I love the reviews written by real customers that give you some further insight into how well particular boards perform in the real world. On top of that, you usually can’t beat Amazon’s prices.

Boosted Dual+ ($1,499)

Fans of Casey Neistat know how much he loves his Boosted boards (yes, plural). And I have to agree: Boosted is the king of electric skateboards, which, I guess, would make the Boosted Dual+ the best electric skateboard ever. They are premium, for sure (and the price reflects that), but you won’t find a higher-quality board. As you can see below, the Boosted design is often copied, but there’s simply no equal. With 2,000 watts of power, a top speed of 22 mph and a 7 mile range you’re going to be very happy with this board.

Yuneec E-Go Cruiser ($648.96)

But lets say you don’t have $1,500 laying around. No problem. The Yuneec E-Go Cruiser is about half the price of the Boosted Dual+ and get a load of this: it has an 18 mile range (that’s a little more than double the range of the Boosted).

Evolve Bamboo Series ($999)

So what if you want a deck that looks a bit different and stands out from the crowd? Then you might want to check out the Evolve Bamboo Series electric longboard. Aside from the dope bamboo look, you’ll be able to hit 23 mph, make it up to 19 miles per charge and benefit from regenerative braking! Enthusiasts will enjoy the interchangeable wheel setup and the super-quiet motor.

Maverix USA Boarder X ($749)

The Maverix USA Boarder X will take you up to 9 miles per charge at up to 19 mph. It’s a very different design than the Boosted look (just check out those massive wheels designed for serious offroading), has smooth braking and 800 watts of power.

MotoTec Wheelman V2 Gas Skateboard ($749)

The MotoTec Wheelman V2 isn’t exactly an electric skateboard, but it is a powered (by gas) board. It’s pretty large and heavy, but it’s also super unique. If you’re looking for an alternative to the Boosted Board — like something way, way different — this might be a good option.
