If you’re home or office is closing in around you due to the fact that you need to get rid of old stuff you don’t use anymore (and it just keeps piling up cause you don’t know how to get rid of it), you need to check out Listia. It works like this: list the stuff you want to give away on Listia (like electronics, clothes, DVDs, etc…) and people bid on your stuff using credits they have earned by listing their own items on the site. To me, the main draw of Listia is just getting rid of old junk that is taking up space, but, if you find that you want something in return, you can use the credits you earn for listing stuff on the store to bid on other people’s old stuff (not as exciting to me). Either way, Listia seems like a decent way to de-clutter. If you want to make real money on your old stuff, check out my coverage of the Rumgr iPhone app.
