Guys whats up it’s Chris from DailyTekk and this is the review of the Amazon Echo.
Amazon Echo is an “always-on” artificial intelligence assistant that you control with your voice. It’s like Siri married a Bluetooth speaker.
Interacting with Echo is EASY!
Alexa how’s my commute today?
Echo is a treasure trove of information. You can check what’s coming up on your calendar, hear the latest news and sports scores and find answers to questions like, “How many ounces are in a liter?”
The voice recognition is at least as good as Siri or Google Now — and sometimes it seems even sharper. But what’s mind blowing is the distance from which Echo can hear you: even from another level of my house, Echo had no problem hearing me.
Echo also lets you listen to radio and music from Prime Music, TuneIn, iHeartRadio and Pandora but what I really want is native Spotify support.
Even so, playing music on Echo is still really great. The voice controls are really fast and intuitive and make all my other speakers seem really out of date.
Other features I love include the ability to set timers and create to-do lists and the ability to control smart home devices including WeMo, Philips Hue and Wink.
And holy crap! This thing looks futuristic! I love the sleek black cylinder and the ring of blue light ring at the top. The only thing that would make this better is if it was built into every room of my house.
If you don’t mind spending $179, I highly recommend this device.
So thanks for watching today. Feel free to share this with anyone who might like it and don’t forget to subscribe so we can hang out again tomorrow.
